We are very proud to serve the local communities across Swansea and South Wales, providing the best insurance services possible.
In these unprecedented and challenging times, we recognise that it is more important than ever to support our local businesses that contribute in so many ways to our communities.
During December we hosted an advent calender competition highlighting the local businesses we work closely with offering complimentary vouchers to spend at those businesses.
Judging by the response to the competition, it was fantastic to see the engagement and entries of people wanting to win these vouchers to spend at local businesses.
From small businesses such as hairdressers, cafés, dog groomers, bakeries to pharmacies, and butchers, we value the incredibly hardworking individuals that are behind these successful businesses.
If you ever wondered what are the benefits of supporting local businesses, here is some food for thought: –
Great Deals – People might be surprised to see just how competitive the prices are in your local shops and restaurants.
- In our case, for example, people are taken back by how competitive our insurance prices are. Customers perceive that comparison websites are the cheapest option. However, we have exclusive deals that beat numerous quotes time and again.
Support the local economy – Shopping at local independent businesses pumps money into the local economy, helping to create jobs in local communities. In turn, making it a better place to live and work and strengthening the sense of community.
Local sources – Local businesses often support and stock items that are made locally and are not available anywhere else. These products are unique, not mass-produced, and often of higher quality.
- In this instance, we have bespoke insurance deals designed for local businesses situated in the Swansea area.
Mental health – Did you know that studies suggest there are links between going out, shopping local, and improved mental health. With the increase in online shopping, customers are missing out on the face to face contact. This is one of the biggest contributors to improved mental health as consumers are vying for experiences. We are now seeing businesses such as barbers, cafés, vape stores, all busier than ever as people are seeking to get out and interact.
- We have two offices based in Pontardawe and Swansea. We have always welcomed visitors to come and visit us to discuss their insurance needs face to face.
Helping the environment – Most local shops source their goods locally, helping to reduce their carbon footprint. Shopping locally also means people are more likely to walk or cycle to get there, helping the reduction in air pollution, reduce traffic, and improve the quality of the nation’s high streets.
Customer Service – Generally speaking, many chain businesses offer good customer service. However, having a personal touch of a local owner can be very beneficial. Small business owners understand that the attention is in the detail and tend to value customers as individuals. They are often able to tailor their expertise to meet individual needs. There isn’t the pressure on small businesses to control what you purchase or push a certain deal, they are able to focus on your individual needs.
- Being FCA regulated, Eastside insurance will always look for the best deals for our customers.
We are providing consumers and businesses exclusive insurance cover that is unique to the Swansea region. So make sure you get in touch with us whatever your insurance needs are.
